This past week, WHKP announced their  73rd consecutive year of broadcasting local high school football games. 

Returning this year for these broadcasts is Beau Lovelace who will again this year call the play-by-play, and again being assisted by his son, Luke Lovelace.  Tim Erksberger will also return as an important part of the broadcast team. 

WHKP Sports Director, Richard Rhodes, says the games can be heard each Friday night beginning at 7:05 PM on WHKP AM 1450 and WHKP FM 107.7.  If potential listeners are outside these radio signals, the games can be heard on the WHKP website at www.whkp.com by clicking on LISTEN LIVE.  Additonally, if you own one, you can say "ALEXA...TUNE IN WHKP".....and hear the games over your speaker.

The major sponsor for this 12-game season is Weichert Realtors, headed in the Hendersonville area by Tiim Erksberger, who feels the broadcast of these games on WHKP is an important part of their company's community involvement. 

This year, a pre-game show will be broadcast beginning at 6:45 PM, sponsored by Bryan Easler Toyota. 

After each WEICHERT GAME OF THE WEEK, Tyler Sams hosts FRIDAY FOOTBALL FINAL, featuring scores of Friday night football games throughout western North Carolina....along with LOTS of REAL COUNTRY MUSIC.
