SUSAB ODOM TO BE ADMINISTRATIVE DIRECTOR OF CARDIOVASCULAR SERVICES
Hendersonville, N.C. – Pardee UNC Health Care announced today that Susan Odom has been named administrative director of cardiovascular services. Odom joins Pardee from Haywood Regional Medical Center, where she was director of operations for cardiology, emergency services and rehabilitation services. Prior to Haywood Regional, she served in key leadership roles at Mission Health for more than 20 years. During her tenure at Mission, her responsibilities as director of nursing spanned emergency services, care management, endoscopy services, critical care, the cath lab and the Asheville Surgery Center. Odom was instrumental in the development of the Mission Health Direct Transfer Center and the interventional cardiology program at Haywood Regional.
As administrative director, Odom will oversee Pardee’s cardiology, vascular surgery and respiratory service lines, working closely with the physician network and nursing leadership. She will provide the overall service line leadership, enhancing provider relationships, program quality and fiscal performance of all related services. A native of Asheville, Odom holds a master’s degree in nursing from Chamberlain College and a bachelor’s degree from Western Carolina University. She also completed the pre-med track at the University of North Carolina at Asheville. Odom is a certified nurse executive and has been certified in critical care medicine for more than 30 years.

Pardee UNC Health Care is a not-for-profit community hospital founded in 1953 and is managed by UNC Health Care. The hospital is licensed for 222 acute care beds.
