Friday - June 14th will see the opening of ROOT & BONE full service restaurant and bar - at the railroad tracks in Horse Shoe, under the heading of CROSSROADS.
For the past two evenings, the new 'mutifaced venue' has featured soft openings for friends and press representatives to raves about the food, the decor, the music and general professionalism in bringing good food to the table and friendliness of staff.
The restaurant is owned by John Turchin, also the owner of Horse Shoe Farm and is said to be 'geared toward a local cliente' with food priced accordingly. In addition to spacious seating for people inside the restaurant, there is also an outdoor patio with bar and will feature local entertainment groups.Totallly, the restaurant opertion can accomodate some 130 people.
The Root & Bone brand has three other locations in Miami, Florida; Indianapolis; Indiana and Chesterton Indiana.
Root & Bone gets its name “from the staples of the American diet,” meat and vegetables. The Southern-inspired cuisine includes dishes such as sweet tea brined fried chicken, braised brisket meatloaf, grilled peach and tomato caprese salad and barbecue spareribs.
In addition to nightly dinners, Crossroads and Root & Bone may expand to lunch on the weekend and include themed nights, such as a blues night or an island night.
Root & Bone is located at Crossroads - 4165 Brevard Road in Horse Shoe....at the old railroad tracks, now known as the Ecusta Trail.
