June 14, 2024 marked the sale of the Old Edwards Inn in Highlands, N.C.
Art and Angela Williams purchased the Inn more than 20 years ago and renovated it at a cost of some $150 million dollars.
Due to aging, the Williams' have sold the property and other related properties in Highlands to Jim and Jessica Whitley of Athens, Ga.
Whitley is the Co-Founder and COO of Athens-based Landmark Proprties is the developer and manager of over $4 billion worth of student housing projects across the United Sates. Jessica Whitley is the Creative Director of Jessica Whitley Studio and leads the design across all the family's projects. The couple also owns The Reserve at Lake Keowee, a private mountain and lake club in Sunset, S.C.
