The all-new Hendersonville Fire Department, located on North Main Street was dedicated on Friday afternoon with attendance numbering several hundred.people.
City council determined that a new station was needed and was built on the same location as the former fire department building on North Main Street. In order to expand the facility, the City moved the Laura Corn putt-putt facility from the adjacent property to a new location next to the newly remodeled VFW building, just two blocks away.
City Manager, Johjn Connet began the dedication ceremonies in front of an appreciative crowd of well-wishers, who then took a tour of the building. Mayor Barbara Volk and all city commissioners were also in attendance for the new facility send off.
Hendersonville Fire department personnel were on hand to properly display the fire trucks and talk with those in attendance.
