Soccer did exceptionally well this season in Henderson County. A couple of awesome players jump off the page as their impacts come from opposite ends of the pitch.
East Henderson's Audra Morgan and Hendersonville's Maya Gash both impacted their teams in a profound way.
Morgan had such a winning season to her credit. the senior scored 40 goals and had 32 assists as forward for the Lady Eagles, who finished 18-4 and made it to the second round of the 2-A state playoffs.
Gash-was the most tenacious defender in the County, as she has anchored a Hendersonville defense that had 15 shutouts. The Hendersonville Bearcats finished 23-1-1 and reached the state semifinals this year.
