- "The Henderson County Technical Rescue Team has been demobilized from deployment for Hurricane Florence and will be returning home Monday evening. We expect them at our station between 7:30pm & 8:30pm."
The Henderson County Technical Rescue Team (HCTRT) received deployment orders to report to the NCEM Staging Area located in Kinston, NC for further assignment during the aftermath of Hurricane Florence. The HCTRT deployed a Type 1 Swiftwater Team with 17 personnel for a 10 day deployment to assist those affected by the rising floodwaters. The team is set up to be self-sufficient during their deployment and have the equipment and personnel to break into 4 boat teams if needed.
The HCTRT is made up of members of departments in Henderson County who work together to train and provide specialized call response to our community as well as other communities who need assistance. The HCTRT members on this deployment are:
