The League of Women Voters Publishes Its Nonpartisan Voter Guide
Ahead of the Henderson, Polk, and Transylvania Coun es 2024
General Elections
Hendersonville, NC, September 24, 2024 – The League of Women Voters’ nonpartisan,
online voter guide—VOTE411.org—is now available for use by Henderson, Transylvania,
and Polk County residents as they prepare to cast their ballots in the November 5th general
elections, with early-voting beginning on October 17th.
VOTE411.org provides voters with access to information on every candidate for o ice at
local, state, and national levels. Voters enter their physical address and click through to
research the candidates who will appear on their ballot. VOTE411.org can also be used to
verify registration, change address, and find polling places. Every candidate for every o ice
was invited to provide a bio, photo, contact info, website address, YouTube video,
statement, and answer a series of questions.
The League of Women Voters (LWV) US, LWV North Carolina, and LWV Henderson County
sponsor the site to help voters make informed choices. From its founding in February 1920,
the LWV has been dedicated to the belief that citizens should play a critical role in our
democracy. VOTE411 was created to help voters make a voting plan that works best for
them and to VOTE when they are ready.
The League of Women Voters is a grassroots nonpartisan organization dedicated to
encouraging citizens’ participation in government and understanding of important issues
