Superior Judge Marvin Pope has ordered the public sale of Shepherd's Memorial Park on the Asheville Highway. This sale is to occur on the courthouse steps on March 4th 2025.
The cemetery was opened in 1954.
Net proceeds of this sale is to go to Melody Shepherd after the deduction of plaintiff's attorney's fees, payments due to the receiver, and guardian ad litem, and cost of the sale. The sale is to also include all related equipment on site,and furnishings.
The value of the property was set at between $900,000 and 1.4 million dollars.This figure came via a court ordered appraisal.
