Hendersonville Community Band will present their annual holiday concert on Sunday 15 December at 3PM. Concert will be held at Blue Ridge Community College in the Blue Ridge Conference Hall. Tickets are available at the door for $12, and can also be purchased in advance at the Hendersonville Visitor Center. Student admissions are free. A wide variety of holiday music will be featured, including:
• Irving Berlin's "White Christmas" featuring Alto Sax soloist Joel Helfand
• A swingin' Sammy Nestico jazz arrangement of "Good Swing Wenceslas", originally featured by The Count Basie Orchestra – and it will be highlighting our horn & saxophone section, with string bass and piano.
• A medley of traditional carols, including "March of the Kings, Greensleeves, I Saw Three Ships, Lo How a Rose & Bring a Torch".
• A soulful gospel rendition of "Go Tell it on the Mountain"
• And many, many more holiday favorites
