The North Carolina Criminal Justice Education and Training Standards Division told News 13 it will conduct closed-door hearings for six Blue Ridge Community College law enforcement instructors as the investigation into the college's Basic Law Enforcement Training continues.

Two days of closed-door hearings are scheduled in mid-August for the instructors, whose certifications remain suspended. The investigation deals with commission rule violations, the North Carolina Criminal Justice Education and Training Standards Division said.

Last fall, leaders at the college launched an internal investigation after being made aware of what they called “conditions within the BLET (Basic Law Enforcement Training) course that did not support the standards that we aspire to uphold.”
In May, students in the BLET program were transferred out to other colleges to finish their courses.
