On Wednesday, December 20, U.S. Congressman Chuck Edwards (NC-11) will host a reception for North Carolina 11th District’s nominees to the United States military service academies.
This is the first reception that Congressman Edwards will hold to honor the service academy nominees. The young men and women from high schools across Western North Carolina were nominated by Congressman Edwards and his Military Service Academy Selection Committee after undergoing a highly selective application and interview process.
The students in attendance are nominated to attend the U.S. Military Academy (West Point), the U.S. Naval Academy, the U.S. Air Force Academy and the U.S. Merchant Marine Academy.
