LOCAL ELECTIONS COMING THIS YEAR
FILING STARTS IN FEBRUARY
Bill Lapsley will run again to serve on the Henderson County Board of Commissioners, seeking his second four-year term.
According to the local newspapers, Lapsley said he’s made a positive contribution to the county and wants to continue having a positive impact for taxpayers.
Lapsley, who announced Monday his intent to file for re-election, said in a statement that he brings more than 47 years of professional engineering experience to the board, resulting in substantial savings for the county capital projects over the past three years.
“I appreciate the opportunity to serve my fellow citizens on the Board of County Commissioners for the past three years,” he says in the statement. “This board has worked well together with the county staff to provide a long list of essential services. There have been several tough issues during this term and all have been handled professionally and in the best interest of the public.”
