For 41 years, the Bounty of Bethlehem Community Christmas Day Dinner has been a beacon of unity and hope for the Henderson County community. This year, the event's message carries even greater significance as many families continue to rebuild and recover in the aftermath of Helene.

The Christmas Day dinner, expected to draw over 2,500 attendees, will provide warm food and a shared moment of resilience for those impacted by the storm. Volunteers were busy Tuesday preparing holiday meals and carving turkeys.

"Behind Bounty of Bethlehem, no one should be alone and this year in particular, we know that it's a difficult time. More people are displaced, and so this is an unusual Christmas," Annamarie Jakubielski of Bounty of Bethlehem said. "We want to take Christmas cooking on. We want to take care of that for you."

The dinner will be held from noon until 5 p.m. on Christmas Day at the Salvation Army, located at 239 Third Avenue in Hendersonville. Takeout options will also be available.

The community is encouraged to participate by donating, volunteering, or contributing financially to support the event.
