NEW STREETSCAPE ARTWORK COMING TO DOWNTOWN HENDERSDONVILLE  

THE BANNERS WILL BEGING APPEARING ON MAIN STREET THE WEEK OF APRIL 2ND   

Participants have been selected for ArtScapes Hendersonville 2017–Where Art Meets the Sky, Hendersonville's first ArtScape Banner exhibition planned for downtown.

The artists are: Diane Dean, Henri Boyea, Edward Morris, Susan Webb Tregay, Kathy Amspacher, Walt Cottingham, Bobbie Polizzi, Tina Duncan, Didi Salvatierra, Keith Berner, Walter Arnold, Frances Hudelson, Alexander Hall, Elizabeth McAfee, Linda Hunter, Elisa Devera, Ashley Spero, Simone Wood, Beverly Kies, Miriam Hughes, Cynthia Moser, Travis Berning, Gary Maxey, Sandee Setliff, John Anderson, Don Osterberg, Susan Barrett, Deborah Johnson, Diane Southen, Jason Lydic, Cynthia Wilson, Cathyann Burgess, Rebecca Gottesman, Marilyn Bailey, Jeff Pittman, Marian Congdon, Alison Chism, Phil Arrington, Sharon Lee and Fred McMullen.

The banners will start to appear in historic downtown Hendersonville the week of April 2, with a Grand Reveal Reception to be held Friday, April 7 from 5-7:30 p.m. at two local art galleries just down the street from one another. More details will be released at a later time.

Henderson county artists and artisans, 18 years and older, were invited to participate in this juried art competition. Selected artwork will be reproduced on 40 banners that will then hang on posts on Hendersonville’s Main Street and avenues for a year beginning in April.

The artwork will be professionally photographed and digitally transferred directly onto 36-inch-by-24-inch vinyl banners, with an image size of approximately 24-inches-by- 24-inches. The artist’s work and name will appear on both sides of the banners along with that of the sponsor of the banner.
